Dress Shopping

Have any of you started dress shopping yet? I'm more excited about trying on dresses than planning anything else! I'm hoping to go soon so I can get some excitement out and then focus on planning. I have a crazy schedule so by soon I mean probably within the next few months.

Does anyone have suggestions about a good bridal shop to start at? I know some places are better than others especially for new shoppers so I figured I would see if any of you had any suggestions!

I went about a month ago but haven't made any other appointments yet... will probably make another apt in a couple of weeks. I went to Fantasia in Rocky Point - they were amazing and so sweet. My appointment was an hour - Candy right away told me that I could take as long as I wanted... I never felt rushed, and we were even there past closing and has NO idea bc she let me just keep trying on! I fell in love with a Maggie Sottero dress but still want to shop around. If you live in that area I HIGHLY recommend them! They are renovating so its a little small and you have to excuse the 'look' but I was beyond happy with the service.

Check out the bridal salon at the Macy's in Manhasset. I found my dress there Great experience.

I went to RK bridal to get my dress - before that i had 2 appts at the white gown in DUMBO. I loved both - but RK is definitely no frills. It was nice because since we had a little time (its first come first serve) to walk around and pull some dresses with my friends without a ton of pressure, which is more my style. I ended up finding my dress there. Jo helped me and she was AMAZING.

Wedding dresser couture by Vassa.I can't say enough good things about it. Vassa is amazing, you get a really personal experience. You have the whole store to yourself for an hour and shes so sweet! She also offers day of services.
