Dress Shopping - AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

So I went to David's Bridal in Massapequa tonight with some of my bridesmaids and my mother. The girl who helped us was SO cold...she didn't introduce herself, didn't ask about a date, asked no questions at all. She just pulled the dresses I put on the list. When I tried some dresses on, she didn't help me, didn't offer the lingerie/shoes/veil, and didn't make any suggestions! When I told her the size dresses I tried on in Long Island City, her response was 'and they fit?', almost in a mocking sort of way. When I was trying on a dress, my mom and girls even overheard her tell a co-worker 'ugh, how come you always get the sales and I get the girls who just want to come look?'. Hmm...maybe it's because you're terrible at your job, and this guy was awesome. Made sure to file a complaint with the manager, who seemed horrified. Sorry, sweetie. Just lost yourself my commission and business. We'll go back to Long Island City. What a nightmare!! On the bright side, I did find my dress!

omgosh thats horrible. I went in there quick and they were miserable people who were not helpful at all, and as you said very cold.

sorry you had to go through that :(

I'm happy you filed a complaint if people don't like their jobs they should find another on. YAY for finding your dress. I wasnt found of davids bridal in massapequa either I just went in to see about shoes and having them dyed and they asked if I found my dress I said yes but it not from db and they had an attitude after that.

glad you found your dress! I would only go to Davids during the week at night the weekends are insane and the service seriously goes down hill.

glad you found your dress! I would only go to Davids during the week at night the weekends are insane and the service seriously goes down hill.

i went to davids bridal both on a weekend day and weekday morning and weekday night it is much less crazy during weekday

OMG I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THEM ALSO!!!!

ok good, so it's not just me being super crazy then. They are very rude, unprofessional and they harassed me for 6 WEEKS about my girls picking up their dresses when we were told they can stay in storage until the rhinestones for my jr bm's dress came in (they ordered the dress without it and tried to say that it was extra when I had it clearly marked on the receipt it was already paid for). Nobody communicates with each other, and I was told I had to order the BM dresses 7 months before the wedding, when in fact 5 out of 7 of them came within a week!! It caused so much drama with my girls and I because nobody was able to come to get fitted at the 'deadline' and when the dresses came the next week they all flipped on me for rushing it!!

If anyone ever decides to go there, the ONLY person that is worth speaking to is Joan. She is amazing, and so sweet, she'll find you the perfect dress!!
