Dress Shopping situation?? (Kind of a Vent)

Dress Shopping situation?? (Kind of a Vent)

I went to Burtons last week and found a dress i LOVED and couldn't stop thinking about. After burtons, I went to Village Bridal and saw some similar dresses, but couldn't get the original dress out of my head.

For the rest of the week, i'm thinking, 'Yeah this is the dress,' but I knew I should keep trying on dresses at other places anyway because it's still early for me to purchase something.

Last night I was at the wedding salon in Manhasset and at some point I was so sick of dresses!! I saw so much lace that I wasn't even sure I wanted that great dress from Burtons anymore! I think i still do, but I just don't know!

I have an appointment at the Massapequa Bridal Reflections Monday, June 29th. The woman on the phone got me a little excited again, but I'm still like UGH no more dresses!!!

Maybe the week and a half between now and my next appointment will help with my exasperation...

I totally feel your pain! I've tried on about 30 dresses already and am like, ok, where is it??!! Where is my dress. I am totally getting frustrated. I have an appointment at Priscilla of Boston tomorrow . . .so we shall see. I've spaced out my appointments, but the whole thing is frustrating me!

I must have tried on that many too... it's ridiculous! The problem is that part of me just wants to get everything done and just pick something already! I'm trying to fight that part, but it's getting exhausting!

I went through the same thing. I found two gowns that I was trying to decide between. One I couldn't get out of my head more than the other. My mom told me to keep looking, just to see if there was anything better than the other two. I refused because I knew with my luck, I'd find a third that I loved just as much and it would make the decision even harder. Finally I just sat down and realized that there was the one that I just couldn't stop thinking about. I called the next day to order it!

JMO, but if you've tried on several gowns and you found one that you can't stop thinking about......that's 'the one.' Don't make yourself even more crazy

that happened to me too.. i tried on so many dresses one weekend that I wasn't sure if the one I wanted was really the one. so I took a two month break since I had a ton of time and went back this week to try on 'the one' along with a few more just to be sure.

This happened to me. I had actually posted about 2 dresses that I couldnt really decide between the two. I really liked both and they were beautiful but I didnt think I had the 'the one' feeling yet but thought maybe it wouldnt happen and I should just pick the one that I had in my head a little more. Then I went to Village Bridal to try on some more and totally had the 'this is the one' moment and the other two flew outa my head. So, Im not saying that everyone will have the 'its the one' thing but if you cant decide and not sure anymore then I would suggest trying on some more to see.

Have you thought about going back to Burtons to try on that dress again? At this point it might be like ok this is the one or I need to keep looking.

I think if you know that you've found the one, you should go for it. I don't think there is a certain number of dresses that people are required to try on!

I would try on the dress again. I actually found my dress the first day I tried on dresses. I wasn't even looking, looking bc I knew I would come back with my mother. I went out yesterday tried on another 10 dresses just to get the whole dress shopping experience and still kept going back to this dress so I tried it on again and am positive that this is the one. Of course I need to think everything over so I didn't order it yet. I'm going to go back this weekend and order it. If you can't stop thinking about a certain dress and smile every day you do like I do lol, then that's the one. If you start thinking oh no there's something better and trying on like 50 dresses I think you'll just make yourself go crazy. I tried on about 25 dresses looking for my engagement dress and then just settled bc I was sick of trying them on. I would never just settle for a wedding dress though.
