dress size

dress size

i am normally a size 12 in clothes and have a large chest... i wanted to know if any of you girls knew about what dress size that would be.

i saw a dress that i love but it only comes up to a size 16 and not sure how small dresses run.

I think each designer is different. You should try it on.

You won't know until you get measured and your measurements compared to the size chart for the designer. Street size 12 should make a wedding dress size 16.
The size is only a number. The dress has to fit to your largest measurement, whether it be bust, waist or hips. If your bust won't make the measure for a size 16, it does not hurt to ask if the manufacturer can cut the dress to fit your bust, or if there is enough fabric in the seams to let it out a bit.

thanx guys i am so anxious to get a dress but everone keeps telling me to wait because my body will change in a year

You may have seen my post on here - I am a 12 but large chested and was freaking out because they ordered me an 18 - for whatever reason, in that dressmaker, that's the corresponding size. Best thing is to have them measure you and show you the dressmakers sizing...I am doing my best not to think 'I'm a size 18!' - so try to keep things in check - and remember it's a number. THey can adjust. Good luck.
