I was wondering how everyone felt about the gathered (dress w/ pick ups)or a-line wedding gown. I tried on a bunch of gowns this weekend and I really really like the gathered look, but no one else I know seems to. I am torn!!

I got myself a gathered look. Its all a matter of what looks best on you. Some people dont like it while others LOve it ( myself being one of them). Try it on and see what works best for you and then decide!!!

I lilke the gathered, but I was looking at wedding magazine with FH and he said it looked like a cake. I dont want FH to think I look like a cake on our wedding day. My dress is a very simple A-line.

OOOH I love that look. I actually wanted it for my bridesmaids. I didnt get one like that for myself becasue i fell in love with another dress and just had to have it. otherwise something with that type of skirt would have been the next choice. I think that something likethat will look great on you!! go for it girl!

actually, I've seen a LOT of people (on here and other boards) with the 'gathered' look. So, you're definitely not the only one!
But as others said, what really matters is what you like, not what others choose.

I loved the gathered look but it didn't flatter me. So mine is A-line.
