Dress style

Im going dress shopping tomorrow. Just wondering what style do you have (a line, ballgown, mermaid, etc)?

What do you LOVE about that style and what made you want that style for yourself?

Was it a style you always imagined yourself wearing?

Right now I'm thinking mermaid or A line...strapless.

I thought I wanted long sleeved flowy kinda ballgown..not good for 5'2' frame.
Tried on the mermaid..looked pouchy.

Ended up with A line strapless with embroidery and corset..totally what i said I didn't want lol but felt more like a bride in it

Try on everything.

I did get a trumpet/mermaid like second dress but that is for dancing/after party etc...I just felt A line better for ceremony

I had NO idea what I wanted. I tried on about eight dresses and fell in love with an A-Line. Simple with a little sparkle. I looove the ruched torso and the slight dip on the neckline (not quite sweetheart). Oh and the corset back!

I'm doing an A-line with a natural waist - I'm actually having a belt attached. I just think that is the best shape for my body.

I wanted lace and a-line with a cap sleeve. You can see in my album that I went in the complete opposite direction. I just fell in love with that dress and it made me look skinny! HAHA!

I wanted mermaid or trumpet for theeee longest time. but then FH stated that he HATES them...so Im going to try on some 'princessy' gowns and give them a try!

I like the idea of mermaid/trumpet because you get the best of both worlds- princess and form fitting all in one.

My dress is a strapless A Line. I wanted to get a ball gown but I looked so short in all of them and I didn't like how they made my body look. Once I put on my dress, it made me look so tall and it accentuated all the good features of my body and I felt absolutely gorgeous wearing it.

mine is a modified a-line strapless with a corset back. I always wanted a ball gown type dress, but after trying on i ended up with the a-line. But its more poofy than a typical one.

Mine is an aline but it fits on top like a mermaid, up until about my thigh then it lets out a little.

Mine is a Strapless Ballgown...I feel like a princess in my dress that is what made me choose it...I'm an only daughter with 3 older brothers and ever since I was little I was treated as a princess and I always pictured my wedding day in a big poofy wedding gown.
