dress update

sorry i didnt write sooner...

i have been conflicted.....

suffice it to say, im not 100% happy....

its a size larger than me - all over! and it makes me look fat

oh, and no one 'ooh'd' or 'aah'd' ...and definately no tears

the worst part was signing the paper that says it was the right size i ordered. i felt a knot in my stomach after i did that

ive been in meeting for most of the day, so i havent even had a chance to call them.

but now im getting concerns with alterations, so hopefully they will pick up later when i call .......

@ANG - i think i am afraid that if another was ordered it wouldnt come in time. idk...

i need to call them......

@LISA - maybe. honestly, i might just want to drink and not think. but who knows. maybe i wont be able to shut up either.

ohhh nooooo!! im sure it wont be an issue though once it comes time for alterations hunnie!! dont worry! lemme know if you want to drink your sorrows away after work lol no but seriously im sure itll be fine, alterations septartment work wonders!!

im sorry you're so disappointed

first off, i dont think you can EVER look fat!! when you try on clothing thats bigger than you, its bound to be unflattering. But when they alter it and it fits your body perfectly, you're going to love it like you did that day you bought it.

second: nobody cried when i put on my dress either. some ppl are just not the crying type.

i think once you try it on after the first alteration, you will feel much better. (it always happens on say yes to the dress lol)

ita!!! janis remember that was my whole thing with my dress!!! it didnt fit and it just didnt look right to me anymore because it was just HUGE! i guarantee you you will love it all over again once its altered

i feel like it still looks like the oversized sample. and im sooo concerned w alterations cuz its lace

plus, i ordered a petite, but i dont think i got that!! cuz apparently if i dont want to hem it i need 4.5 inch heels!! that is nuts!! so i really dont thiink they ordered it right

i wish i never signed that stupid paper! i just called them and left a message

i think they did that shyt so i can spend more on alterations. stupid me keeps forgetting that all this is a business and is about $$

i think i need to start acting more like a bridezilla....

Aww, I'm sorry J. I wish I could offer some words of advice, but I am clueless when it comes to most of this wedding stuff. I can offer some hugs though!

oh, janis- I am so sorry about this, I am sure that they can alter the dress to fit you like a glove

well the store just called and confirmed it is in fact a petite (its 54 inches instead of 57)??? does that sound right?

anyway, w t h. i guess i wouldve been really tripping over the other. unless they are BS'ing me

of course she also said alterations would be no problem

Oh Sweetie, please don't be upset. That dress was MADE for you! Seamstresses can work miracles nowadays, especially with wedding gowns.

And no worries about no one crying, no one cried when I picked out mine either
