Honestly, they can work wonders with lace these days...when I was originally going to order the Maggie, they told me they would take the whole overlay off and hem it that way...I'm willing to bet that once it fits right you will love it allllll over again

thanks all. when i went to FH's last night i told him about the try-on and how its big. and i started crying. he was so nice about everything tho. he told me if i needed to look for another dress, i should, its okay.

first, i cant look for another dress...plus i dont start alterations till march. so i guess we kind of decided if its not good (which it seriously better be), i will buy something off the rack

i dont want to do that, but im glad he was so supportive of everything. i was crying - but it was good to get it out and cry - and he was just holding me.

this morning he told me that i should take FSIL next time cuz she can b**** ppl out

oh man
i just got sooo bummed for you reading that!!! i feel so bad!!

but like the other girls said , after you have alterations it will look different on you because it will fit you like a glove.

hope everything works out and keep us updated

Alterations work wonders. My cousin's wedding is in 2 weeks and they ordered me a bridesmaid dress FOUR sizes larger than usual. It was HUGE on me and I was so skeptical about how the alterations would go. In the end, it looks awesome and they even maintained the right proportions, and that was just for a bm dress. THey will take even more care with a bridal dress!
