dress vent (long) need hugs!

help! the last few times i tried my dress on, i didnt feel great in it. my dress is gorgeous, but for some reason im just not liking it on me. i feel like the waistline does nothing for me. i dont have a weight problem, but im about 5 lbs heavier then i was when i first got it, and i think maybe thats it. thats not a problem for me to lose...but i just want to feel awesome in it, ya know? and when i vent people think im being 'that girl' but i really cried the last time i had it on! did anyone else go thru this? i know itll be better once i shed a few and its fitted to me exactly....but any opinions/advice? thanks..

I haven't gotten my dress in yet but maybe if you go in with your hair and make-up done with your shoes and jewelry you will feel great! Sometimes you need the whole package!

First of all, here are your hugs...

Secondly, I felt the same way when I went to try my gown on, and it didn't fit 'just right'...

I've seen your picture, it doen't look like you need to lose one ounce.

However, once I lost 10 pounds and went back to try teh gown on, oh my!!!! I was loving it again. DOn't lose sleep over it. I am sure you looked beautiful in it and you'll see that soon enough. If you feel you need to lose weight, do it and then go and see your gown again. It worked for me!

Oh Im sorry you are going through that! I saw your picture on the 04 brides I think, we all introduced ourselves..you are cute as can be and dont look like weight would even be an issue, but if it is..maybe lose the 5 pounds and then try on the dress again. Is it possible that once you have the dress and makeup, etc and are all ready to go that it is then you will feel beautiful? I dont really have any good advice for you..Im sorry....but heres lots of hugs for you!!!

I wasnt allowed pics in my dress until after I bought it. I keep looking at the pictures and I'm miserable! I feel like it's not meant for my body bc I can't fill out the top properly and it makes my waist look wide. I just emailed the bridal shop to see if the manufacturer has already started making it, and if they haven't I am probably going to resume my dress search! I know exactly how you feel!!

I wouldn't worry. It may be other stresses that are playing themselves out through the dress. That happens to me all the time. I get upset over something, try not to think about it and then it rears it's ugly head in the silliest of places. So maybe some quiet time to relax and think about all the other stressful things going on might help. Good luck!

Ok, enough with the underboobage, picture being a size 6/8 with a D cup. I couldn't were halter, I couldn't wear sweetheart...I was stuck with a straight topped dress without any alternmative!

Lost the weight, down to a C, liking teh dress again!!!!

I had the waist problem too and had the seamstress take out some material in the seams (about half an inch or an inch)...

Although I liked my dress a lot, I was not head over heels in love with it when I picked it out. When I went for my fittings, I wasn't crazy about it at all. However, when I put it on the morning of my wedding, I looked and felt beatiful! I think having my hair and makeup done, plus wearing the veil, helped a lot. In the meantime,

I feel the same way. When I first ordered the dress my Mom took pictures and I HATE the way I looked in the pictures. I am praying that when the dress comes in, it will look different when it is fitted. I don't have a weight problem I just feel I look heavy in the dress. It is reassuring that someone feels the same.

Here's some hugs

Don't stress. You will look beautiful! If it is not fitting you 'just right' talk to the seamstress. I'm sure she can make any minor adjustments to your gown.

SMILE!!! This is your day and you will be the center of attention!
