Dressmaker called me fat!!

I had my first fitting of my dress thats being made for me-- i had muslin fittings before-- so she says in spanish to the store owner 'gordita' - which i know means fat girl-- The owner then asks my mother if I gained weight!! First off, I havent-- second - how rude! I am not fat and it totally ruined the experience of today. THe rest of the fitting I felt like I was going to cry

That 's is terrible!!! You should definatley sya something when you pick up your dress and tell them how rude they were to you!

I am soooo sorry you had to go through this, and more so that since your dress is being made you can't just pick up and go somewhere else. Try not to let the ignorance of others ruin the experience of watching your dream dress come alive!!!

OMG!!! Why don't you explain to the owner that you know what was said. Perhaps they will be intelligent enough to be embarassed and watch what they say in the future. I'm so sorry!

OMG, I would have let her know then and there that I knew what she said! That is very rude, especially that so many people are multilingual these days. I would take my business elsewhere immediately. I guess I can be spiteful like that, but if i am paying someone alot of money, i find it unacceptable to be treated like that

OMG - that is so horrible - I would not have only cried right there on the spot, but I would have cried for a week!!!!

I would have said somehting to her - how dare she!!!

That is awful, how rude!!

I would request that you not have that seamstress anymore,, and complain to the manager!!That is unprofessional!!!!! It does not matter if you are fat or skinny that is no wat to talk about a customer... Esp one that is paying her salary!!!!

I have totally had it with Bridal Salons and fittings. Ever since we bought my gown, we've been treated so poorly. I feel the same for most Bridal Suites I'm in. Sorry to hear you also had a bad experience - - don't let that bitty ruin your experience!
