Dressy enough for a BM dress? (with pics)

Original post by beachbum05

I just got the March JCrew catalogue, and fell in love with the 'embossed beach dress.' They make it in three different styles (I'd let my BM's choose which one they like best...they could all do different styles - I don't care)

These would all be in black....

Strapless

Halter

straps (I'm not a big fan of this one...but if it looks good on them....)

(back of it)

My ceremony is outdoors, in the summer, and my flowers are very non-conformed/non-traditional so I think it would fit the look of the wedding......

One of my Bm's was already planning on buying it, so I know they'd use it again!

What do you think?

Is foof a technical term?

And no, it's totally not too foofy... how do you think it will look on someone 'hippy'?

I like them..but honestly more for a casual dress.. I understand u are going more like casual but it just doesnt loook like it would make then stand out...

if u dont like the typical looking BM dress material maybe u could try a raw silk...I think it still looks dressy but not over the top

I hope I didnt offend you, this is just my opinion :)

What about this dress? More formal?

(again, it'd be in black)

IMHO I like this one the best w/ your dress, your venue & your overall day. I think it';s a better fit, but that's just my opion,

I am doing raw silk for my girls (pic in my album) from Jenny Yoo and the dresses came out fabulous, the material is so great and it is super-flattering for all sizes (we ordered from 0-12). They were a little pricey $270 I think, but all of the girls said it was worth it because the dress was of such good quality. I love the raw silk, not too bridesmady, but dressier than cotton type dress.
