FH and I are likely choosing a beer/wine/soda package rather than an open bar because most of our family and friends stick to those kinds of drinks. We are going to pay for the few drinks here and there that others are likely to choose. If anyone has chosen a beer/wine/soda package and paid for extra drinks - did this work well? Was your reception location accurate in tracking the additional drinks? Thanks!

Re: Drink Packages
Hmm did you check to see if the price diff is that much? We were originally doing wine/domestic beer package but then when we went back to finalise everything, one of the managers told us that we were paying 63.50 pp and to add the open bar would be 65.00 with premium liquor. Since we were paying for it essentially anyway, we did the open bar.

Re: Drink Packages
It is a $15 difference - we're having the reception at a restaurant. We're going to have a few more discussions with them re: other things before we book and maybe we'll see about getting a deal.

Re: Drink Packages
for us, I think the difference between a premium bar, and just beer and wine is around $12/pp
