Is the Droid really that great? I hear it's heavy. I'm trying to decide between getting that or hold out for the iphone which is rumored to be coming out for all services in a year.

---

yeah, i was debating between droid and a blackberry. FH is really into phones, and said he thinks the iphone thing is just a rumor.
I've only had the droid since monday, so i'm still learning. It is kinda heavy though :(
But since i got it in the mail, i went to enter a few of the important contacts until i could get to the verizon store & it automatically updates with facebook... like if i'm friends with 'John Smith' on facebook and i type his name in my contacts - if he's my facebook friend it will automatically update his phone # and email address!!! i thought that was awesome!!!!

Nice!!! I hear that the Droid is the best PDA out there now!

yup!!!! it ;inks all your contacts together like the droid does so if your friends with someone facebook it pulls up their pic, shoes their status, phone numbers, etc which is awesome and convenient....

whats really awesome about is that you dont have to open apps... you have these things called 'widgets on your homescreen that show updates for all your accounts so everything is right there on your homescreen... so far i love it!
