Is anyone else wearing long, drop earrings on their wedding day? I was planning on treating myself to this beautiful simple pair of earrings that's a single pearl on a 1.75' sterling silver drop chain but last weekend this lady at the gown store where my mom bought her dress told me that no bride wears a long earring on their wedding day. So now I'm having second thoughts. Anyone??

What? Why would she tell you that? A lot of brides wear drop earrings on their wedding day! I plan on finding a pair of drop earrings myself!

Thank you!! I love the way long earrings look with a gown but she got me all worried. She was basically saying that brides wear delicate earrings like a pearl stud or an earring with a tiny pearl or diamond dangling from it.

Whattt???? I plan on wearing big drop chandelier earrings and no neclace. I think u can totally wear them. I hate when boutique woman tell you what's appropriate. My sister had a woman at a bridal boutique tell her brides don't wear open toed shoes??? She ignored her, but not the point. Point is some of those woman are so out of the loop.
Wear the earrings they sound beautiful

Hmmnn. Lady should perhaps look at some recent pictures of brides.
I wore chandelier earrings. My hair was up, my dress had a wide neckline, I did not wear a necklace and I looked fabulous.

What that's not true! I tried on all kinds of earrings, you decide based on what looks best on your face and the shape of the dress. I decided on chandelier type earrings, but did try on a few long drop earrings...

ok that lady doesnt know what shes talking about!!! of course you can wear drop earrings!!!! many brides do!!! i think it looks so pretty esp if you wear your hair down

I had pretty big chandellier earrings, and i LOVED IT. I wore most of my hair down and tried earrings with my hair down and you couldnt even see it so was pointless. I liked the big earrings bc you were actually able to see them. I also didnt wear a necklace so wanted earrings to stand out
just do what you like best, everybody has their own preference and should keep their preferences to themselves. Dont even listen to what that lady said, she has issues and i see ALOT of brides with drop earrings or big earrings period.

lol that just makes me laugh. first of all: SO not true! second of all: who gives a crap as long as YOU like them. I wore my hair up, with big giant swarovski chandelier earrings...i them and so did everyone else!

I plan on wearing long earrings that have a pearl on the end. I think it looks great...especially if you're dress is strapless.
