When you drop off your wedding stuff -e.g.: programs, candles, isle runner etc. -- to the reception hall, do you leave them with instructions on how you want everything placed the day off? Do you label things? How does it work?

I labeled it all. They know what to do with the menus unless you are doing something out of the norm. They also made a list of what I told them. So there shouldnt be any issues

When you got to pick your menu and everything they'll tell you. We had a form we had to fill out and we had to label everything and talked to the BM and he took notes.

i labeled all the boxes with what was in it. if there was something specific i wanted them to do with something i did write it down (ie: parents wedding pictures on place card table, pic of me & dad with memory candle & poem, etc). otherwise, i figured they knew what to do with favors, menus, etc.

When we met w/ the RH 2 weeks before the wedding, they went over EVERYTHING w/ us, including what to do w/ the stuff.
We had to put everything in sealed, labeled boxes and had to drop it off 5 days before the wedding.
Every place is different....they'll def tell u what to do.

This makes me VERY nervous! I was told to label everything but I'm going to want to go over everything with someone.

Make a VERY SPECIFIC list of what you want and how you want.
Make sure you keep inventory of what you brought to them.
Then the day of (if you don't have a DOC) ask someone to go around and check things out for you.

Good call, that's a Tiffany (MOH) job because she's got a great loud mouth! My nightmare is that we'll sit down and be short a centerpiece or toasting flutes or a cake topper or something!

We have to drop our stuff off the week of the wedding and they told us everything should be labeled. My BM also told me that she will meet with me before the wedding and go over how I want everything set up. My DOC will also be there to assure everything is done correctly

This concerns me too! Especially since I am making my own CP's and my BM told me to bring all of the stuff there and show her how to put one together and she would do the rest. I don't know if I am going to do that but I also don't want to drive with them in my car all put together........aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

they told me to put stuff in boxes with our names and wedding date. Dropped off the week of and some stuff night before. But yes i went over instructions with maitre'd. They gave me a sheet with each table and i wrote down what goes on the tables, how many menu's or favors for example. And any special instructions went on that sheet.
Don't be nervous you see the room before anyone else does so they can fix anything but im sure it will be fine.

if you want to keep things they pack it for you but if you dont want something they'll throw it out for you
