Ok, I am starting to freak out. If I go on time, I will have 10 weeks from the baby to the altar. Um, HOW AM I GOING TO LOSE THE WEIGHT.
I am so bloated. My e-ring barely fits. Even my NOSE is swollen (apparently its common). I am starting to think I should have pushed the wedding back. (We booked before we were pg.)
Here's a photo taken last week, at 31 weeks. I have gained 23 pounds. You can see the before & after below. I can't honestly STARVE myself b/c I have to nurse the baby. And I say I am going to go to the gym but everyone I know who has had a baby laughs in my face when I say that. They say I will be too tired to even drive to the gym, let alone work out.
I don't expect anyone to have any magic solutions, I just needed to vent/freak.
You look gorgeous! ANd dont let anyone get you down about losing the weight you want to. Maybe they didnt have a wedding to lose it for so it wasnt important to them. I can tel its important to you so you will do it

You haven't gained tooo much considering you only have 2 months left and you still look beautiful! Nursing burns more calories so keep that in mind! And it will help tighten up some of your tummy muscles too. You can always take the baby for some walks in the stroller a couple of weeks after the birth to get some more exercise in. You'll look great!

23 lbs really isn't alot for pregnancy weight gain. i've heard the best thing you can do to lose weight after a baby is to breast feed- something about it makes the weight drop off faster! i'd talk to your Dr. about a safe plan for post baby diet & exercise. i'm sure you can't jump back into vigorous exercise too fast. maybe check out Spark People, I find the site really helpful.

Re: Dropping the pounds for wedding...
I'm so sorry you are feeling a bit worried/down/freaked out
Remember that a bunch of that weight is from the baby and water! So once you give birth and are able to to start eating normally again you should loose the weight quickly. Nursing should help too! You may not be back to your original size but you'll be close.
No mattter what your going to be a beautiful bride!

Re: Dropping the pounds for wedding...
Here's good news...several people I know who had kids lost the weight in no time by breast feeding...and they are skinnier now AFTER having kids than they ever were! No special diets or tricks...don't stress yourself out!!

Re: Dropping the pounds for wedding...
try breast feeding and also Toys R Us have this belly wrap (i guess kinda like a girdle... that moms use after having a baby.. they wrap it and it helps the muscles retract... \
btw, you look great for being a mommy to be!

Re: Dropping the pounds for wedding...
If it makes you feel better, breastfeeding alone burns over 500 calories a day. BF moms can drop 10-15 pounds in the first month alone.
Also, a lot of that is proabaly water weight, which will go away after the baby is born.

You look absolutely gorgeous!!!!
23lbs is not a lot of weight. Lets say 7 or 8lbs is baby weight. A few more lbs are placenta, then water retention weight. You'll look fabulous. Don't let people get you down. You'll be fine.

I know that part of how you are feeling about yourself is hormonal. I just have to say that you look beautiful. You are having a boy?

Re: Dropping the pounds for wedding...
I can only imagine those feeling...I am trying to lose a few more pounds before my wedding and it's hard. Try to remember though that even if you're not at your 'thinnest' on your wedding day, that there is VERY VERY good reason why you're not- you will have a beautiful baby!!!! Do the best that you can do- you will look gorgeous no matter what

Re: Dropping the pounds for wedding...
the only wieght I see on you at all is your belly! I know that I'm not much help b/c you are feeling this way....but truthfully I don't think that you look heavy at all. I haven't had a baby yet but I am pretty sure that initial bloating goes down pretty fast. My friend gained 40 pounds during her pregnancy, she gave birth 2 wks ago, and lost over 25 pounds. She says that breasfeeding is also making her lose more. I think you look phenominal. I hope to be as lucky as you someday
