Hmm, ok girls, any advice on how I can approach FH about not getting s*itfaced on our big day? At these kinds of events he tends to 'overindulge' and it scurrs me a little. What kinds of agreements have you all made with your FH?

Well...I told my FH that he was to TOTALLY control himself b/c he got sick from drinking and being in the heat at our engagement party. I said no more than 2 drinks at the RH. It's not like hes gonna have all this time to hang at the bar we have to mingle and take pics and will be pulled here anf there so.. Our reception ends at 6 and I said he can drink as much as he wants afterwards!

i basically told him i would kick his a** if he gets drunk. he never never never gets drunk to the point of embarrassment so im not really worried one bit. but i had to foreworn him.

FH has a tendancy to get very drunk at events too--and I want him to remember our wedding! So, I asked him to keep the drinking to a minimum, and if I start to notice he's drinking too much that I would tell him to stop. But lets be honest...he's not going to. He'll probably tell me 'no, Im fine'. But my plan is...i'll go up to the Maitre'd AND the bartender and tell them no more drinks for the groom.

I explained to him very clear that 10 years from now when we are sitting down and showing our video to our kids, won't it be so funny to see their Father completely shi* faced
He looked at me laughed and got the point
After the reception I told him get as drunk as you want, but during a nice buzz is fine
