Did anyone hand their DUET photographers the list of the 'Must Take' pics? If so, do they actually make sure they take them????

Choosing a Photographer has been the hardest decision for me to make. Duet was very nice and the price is great. What worried me was they did not have many complete albums to show from just one wedding. Other photographers I have been to had tons of books from each wedding they have done so you really got a feel for their work and style. The books he presented me were a mix of pics from all different weddings. That worried me. But dont get me wrong, the pics I did see were very nice. I just rather go with someone who had more a larger body of work to show me. Also they didnt include enough proofs for me..only 400-500...which is low compared to others. I figure you have this day once in your life and you dont want to look back and wish you had booked Verde or Jovan. If you do go with Duet I wouldnt worry about the language issue. I believe all the photographers that work under him speak good English. As for the video, I thought that was the best part, he used to be a TV commercial director so you know the editing will be great on the video. Good luck in your decision, I know its a hard one.

Since there are soo many brides on this site that have used them, you can go to the Brides Review section of this site and view TONS of their proofs.

I gave them a list. Although I havent gotten my proofs back yet, I did see them on my wedding day with my checklist so I am sure they got all the pics I wanted.

I gave a checklist and they did everything except the table pictures. That would have been nice to have but it's ok. There are a lot of candid photos of our guests so it makes up for it.

My situation was a little different because everything was back to back without a lot of time for photos. I think DUET did a great job considering. When I tell you, they never sat down, that is not an exaggeration. My guests were so impressed with them they actually asked about them at the wedding.

I got over 500 proofs. I didn't count them but I know they are over 500

We are happy with their work

Was the language thing a problem for anyone?

This is why we did not book them! I thought there would be some problems. Many girls have used them and have raved about them! Go with your gut! For us it was someone else.

No problem for us. Its not like they dont speak a word of English. We were able to communicate fine. It wasnt like we were trying to say things to them and they had no idea what we were saying. They understood everything. Also, I kinda liked that they were quiet and soft spoken... the last wedding I went to the photographer was soo loud and overbearing. He was all over the place and LOUD! Duet is awesome!
