Duet

So I met with Duet today and was very impressed! Couldn't even believe their prices! Which photographer should I book with? I've read great things about TJ on here but I definitely want to hear your insight.

Also, I haven't visited other photographers yet, but does anyone know if Proline, Patken or Jo-Von's pricing is at all similar to Duet's?

$5100 flat (after much negotiation)
2 photographers, 1 videographer

30 page (70 photo) 12x12 album
2 (24 photo) 6x8 parent albums
1 24x30 photo
1 16x20 photo
engagement shoot w/ cd of 50 photos
engagement sign board
125 thank you cards
12 8x10s
3 5x7s
video w/ 3 dvds plus 1 dvd of raw footage
all rights to photos
two cds of proofs and hard copy proofs (500 touched-up photos, 1500-2000 unedited proofs)

...THAT'S FANTASTIC!!! They don't do much negotiation...but that's a great price.

Sounds pretty good to me!! I met with duet then went to Patken with what duet gave me and they met their price and through some extras in....it just comes down to who's style you like better. Give it a try before you book duet!

Does anyone know if 500 photos is a lot? I'm worried that I think that's a lot but that it really isn't a lot to choose from...

WOW that is a fantastic price!!! I thought I did pretty well with my package but yours looks awesome!

I was definitely nervous about booking with them because I had really wanted to meet with the actual photographer (Nick) before committing - which I was told wasn't possible until after booking. But based on their photos, website, and amazing LIW reputation, we figured we couldn't go wrong! Now that we've booked we're going to try to set up an appointment with the photographer and if the fit isn't right we can always switch teams

It seems like the 500 are the ones that they will touch up and make look good, but that you will have all of the rights and proofs of any photos taken that day...which they told me could be upwards of 3,000. I would say it's plenty of photos

you get the 500 best shots in a box..plus them on a dvd..then another dvd with al the rest of the shots unedited
