Hey Ladies, I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on Duet. FH and I went to the WCC bridal showcase last night and we met s*i*l*v*e*r*f*o*x and we really liked him however when i got home and did some research something just didn't sit right with me. After stalking everyone's bridal reviews i seem to really like duet's style and wanted to know everyone's take on them and if anyone has an estimated price range. I really appreciate all of your help so far in this crazy world-wind experience!!

Re: Duet
We met with Duet as well. Their best package was about $5,300 I think. It's for 2 photographers and a videographer for 10 hours. I liked their photos, but keep in mind that they photograph about 400 weddings a year, which is a lot!
We are actually booking with Moss Creation Photography. www.mosscreation.com Check their photos out, really beautiful work. Don, the owner photographed my FSIL, and 3 friends weddings, and their pictures are to die for!

We met with Duet too. The guy we met with had no real charisma about him, for lack of better word - I don't know what it was but it was almost like he was bored and annoyed that we were there on an appointment to check out their work. They do take really beautiful pictures and the photographers are really sweet - I know from my experience my cousin used them and they were so funny and nice throughout the day but I don't know the initial meeting to me just did not sit right and we went with someone else, Lighthouse- I love Florio!!!!!

I met with patken & duet.... they both take amazing pics. I felt more comfortable with patken. At Duet the guy didn't seem to understand English very well. I was asking him questions & every answer was 'yes' with a head nod.
All i was thinking was on my wedding day me & FH are going to try to talk to the photographer & he won't understand a dam word we're saying!!!
We chose Patken :o) Their packages were basically around the same price. give or take $100

ITA!!!! We went there and although their pictures are gorgeous, their ceiling was leaking buckets of water and the place stunk like mildew. We sat with the receptionist (not the photographer, which is ok because that is usually the case) but I would have like to at least talk to someone who would have been there taking my pictures. Their highest package is 5300$ and they dont do STD's ..My sister is booked with them and is really happy but I just didnt have a great experience. I lovee their photos though

ITA too!! Was it Danny? He was ncie I guess but just no personality. And my mom stumped him on quite a few technical photography questions so we weren't too impressed with the presentation, but I do love their work and I know two brides who have used them and had great experiences and great photos. So I will probably end up booking with them!
Any advice on which photographer? Both brides I know used Jay's team but now he's a veteran so he costs $500 more!! wtheck??

I saw your e-pics and I LOVED them. FH and I also booked with Patken, but now I'm really nervous... I read some not so good reviews on weddingwire and now I'm freaking out. To me the most important thing is the photography and video since it's all I'll have left from the wedding day that only happens once! What are your thoughts?!

Re: Duet
you guys are so incredibly helpful, i am so thankful for you guys. Photography is top 3 of the most important things for me day of. I LOVE taking pictures i have a great camera and everyone always looks for me when we are at events so i know that i want someone who's pictures dont look like i could've taken them myself if that makes sense. I like the photojournalitic photos. I am going to look into Patken now. I REALLY appreicate all of your feedback

I'm not worried at all.... In life, you are not going to make everyone happy! Of course there will be people who are not happy! I am happy with my decision

Re: Duet
I would not be worried about Patken at all. They have been amazing so far! And I still LOVE LOVE LOVE my engagement pictures.
With reard to Duet... my FBIL and FSIL had said that there was some language issues with dealing with the photographers (actually it is the family joke but I will not repeat that on here!) but the pictures did come out great!

Thank you for the positive vibes. I started panicking yesterday and I was going to cancel. FH had to set me straight... LOL!

Re: Duet
I have called and left 2 messages for Duet and no one ever calls me back! I like Patken's work and have been thinking of using them, but 3 girls at work used them and all had the same exact issue- no follow through after the wedding day. They said right up until the day of the wedding, it was fabulous, but after there was a lack. One girl was married in 2009 and still doesn't have a working video. Those are the things I worry about. However, the pictures they have are absolutely gorgeous.
Do you mind letting me know what was off with S*I*L*V*E*R*F*O*X? You can FM me. We have an appointment with them.
