Help! We have our casual photo shoot with Duet tomorrow and I don't know what to wear.
I want to keep it casual - so I'm 99% sure I'm going with jeans, and we're doing the pix in Central Park. Unfortunately, it's going be quite warm tomorrow, and I haven't lost any of the weight I had hoped to...so top options are limited. I have 2 boatneck 3/4 sleeve shirts that I think I've narrowed it down to.
Now the big question - White or light green top???

I myself dont' know what to wear either. I've seen some girls in long summer skirts or just jean, a shirt and a nice jean jacket. Good luck! Let us know what you decide and how it goes. Who is your photographer?

Oh how exciting! I'm getting married a day after you and am using Duet as well. Didn' think you can book casual photos so soon. Does it have to be on a weekday?
I would wear colors that flatter you, pick your best top! I'm thinking about a short sleeve ivory shirt with my best jeans.
Tapered light colored shirts are great 'cus they hide your flaws well. Avoid anything stretchy. Here's what a photographer has to say:
'Outside: Wear a mixture of solid colors with different light and dark hues. Make sure the colors blend well with others. Examples: Light Jeans and a black shirt or khakis and a blue shirt'

That's very helpful - thanks! My jeans are dark - so either shirt should work (both are light)...but they are stretchy (ribbed lightweight tops) - that's part of my concern - but button-downs aren't my favorite - hard to find ones I like.

Mine is next Wed and I was stressed about it also. Than I found a cute green plaid strapless dress from the Gap and I'm wearing it with a cardigan and my FH will wear a cute three button polo shirt with the same color. Good luck!

im using alberto... we are meeting in clark botanical gardens in roslyn..
im wearing a white 3/4 sweater and either jeans or black striped pants... its at 1130 - so im hoping im not too hot - i didnt want to wear a skirt with the wind and if i sit on the grass..

it was great - he had so many shots for us and FI didnt kill me!!
they said in 2 weeks we will have proofs.. i will post then!!

Hi; I am 10/1 as well and using Duet. I didn't book anything yet. Did you find out whether it has to be during the week. The weekend would be soo much easier for me.

I seem to recall them saying the casual shoot has to be during the week (they're busy on weekends with events)...call and ask...if you book soon enough and early in the day - you may be okay.

Our shoot was yesterday - with Joseph...he was great...very friendly, funny...and seemed to have a good eye. We were a little self-conscious going into it...being in Central Park posing for pix with people all around...but it was fine...(we joked that people thought we were famous) :)
Can't wait to see the proofs in a few weeks!

Are you with Duet too? I called and they said it would be 4-5 weeks! I thought it was odd since they're digital.

We did ours on a weekend. They were very limited with dates, I think we had only 2 to chose from, one in Oct. and one in Nov. I don't know how it would be at this time of year, I would imagine they are even more busy. We also had to use whichever photog. was available, not the one who will be shooting the wedding.
