I wanted to see if anyone who is using or has used Duet had any issues with the way they shoot at weddings. At the wedding of my FBIL they were so intense! The flashes never stopped. Each couple was stopped in the middle of the aisle to take a picture (which created some awkward faces) and they interrupted the first dance to get a picture of the bride and groom smiling for the camera. Maybe I'm overreacting but it just seemed so invasive!
I do think they do beautiful work and their prices/packages are great, I'm just a bit hesitant to book because I don't want every special moment to be interrupted.
Any thoughts?

Re: Duet issues
I think thats the FIRST time I have heard anything not so positive. Who were their photographers? I have friends who have used them and fellow LIWers and havent heard anything negative. That is unfortunate! Maybe I will speak to my photographer beforehand!

They used Duet, which is why I'm hesitating to book them. The pictures are great but they really were like paparazzi.

Re: Duet issues
I have never heard anything about Duet being considered invasive. My hall calls them ninjas and says they are everywhere in the background taking shots, you don't even know they are there. And my florist (the owner of the company) gave Duet great reviews as well.

Re: Duet issues
I dont think you have anything to worry about.. i have heard nothing but GREAT things about Duet.. I wanted to book them but they were already booked on my date.... If you really like them and you are afraid that they will be too invasive just let them know that you would rather them be behind the scenes rather than 'in your face'
Now with digital photography photographers try to take as many pictures as possible of you and your wedding so you will see tons of flashes but its more to make sure you have tons of pics to chose from and remember your day by more than trying to be all over you and your guests all night.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: Duet issues
umm are you sure your talking it was Duet? Duet is probably the less invasive photographer around. They are know was ninjas by everyone, DJS, florists, other photographers so this seems a little odd

Re: Duet issues
Yea, I agree with all the other posters. They are amaaazing and I've NEVER heard of them being invasive. I've also heard from my other vendors that they are 'ninjas' lol...can't wait to see them in action on my big day. I would express your concerns when you meet with them. They are awesome to work with!

Re: Duet issues
I used Duet and honestly barely knew they were there. The were so unobtrusive.
to me what you describe doesnt sound like Duet at all.

Re: Duet issues
I used them and thought they were phenominal! I didn;t even know they were there. I also attended 2 weddings who used them as well and didn;t know they were there either. Maybe your FBIL gave them a list of 'must take' photos and that was the only way to get them. I have never heard anything bad about Duet...ever. I don't think you will be disappointed. Good Luck.
