Help! my fiance is into video and really wants to talk to the guy filming our wedding but duet is refusing to let us talk to them. isn't that weird? they told me that they rotate the video guys so they wont know till that day but still can't they have an idea by that week? that fh can talk to them either in person or on phone? they are going to get back to me about this but i bet i never hear back unless i call them again. any advice or experience with them?

Re: Duet - video- worried
All of my video questions were answered by Eric and Sue so I dont know if its needed to speak to them individually. They do rotate videographers but only use a handful of them. i woldnt be worried - i' m not.

i wouldnt be worried...my video guy was fine...is it something that big that needs to be discussed up ahead? or can your FH just talk the day of and let them know what he wants?

I'm sure the video will be great, but your paying enough to be able to speak with the actual vendor beforehand. This would bother me.

Re: Duet - video- worried
I don't understand video. it has to do with wide and full screen (i dont get it or care but fh is obsessed with it being wide screen) it can easily be done the wrong way by making the picture stretched instead of real wide screen. Eric and him have talked but they dont seem to be understanding each other. Eric said this wouldnt be a problem when we signed the contract but when we recently went to confirm everything Eric said its not how they do video ('because most parents dont have wide screen'- which is a cute reason but not something we are concerned with) but that they would do it for us but i am worried because they still didnt seem to be understanding each other (it was a very awkward conversation to watch) and worried that the picture is going to be ruined by being stretched (i dont know if thats fixable after its filmed stretched out to appear wide screen. i wish fh didnt say anything. fh fills the video guy would best understand what he needs. also, fh says since we meet the photo guy (who was wonderful to meet with by the way) that we should meet the video or at least talk to him beforehand.

I believe Duet does hire from outside.. I think a few of the larger companies like this do. This is what made me think I didn't want a large company.
