I am trying to decide between Duet or Patken as my photographer. Does anyone have any feedback on either one?

Even though I did not book either one I did meet w/ both. I have to say that I would choose Patken over Duet

All I kept hearing from people was did you book a photographer, you must look at Patken!!!
We looked at other photographers at bridal shows but I fell in love with Patkens works.
So I made an appointment, just look at some of there work and get prices and needless to say I booked them. I think this was the one of the best decisions. I guess it was a little impulsive, and they are on the expensive sode but pictures are so important to me.

I too met with both Duet and Patken for photography. If I had to choose between them, I would go with Duet.

Personally, I liked Duet's work vs. Patken. Duet was more my style and for the money I am getting a lot more.
I loved everything about Duet. I also just took my e-pics with them and just from that, I can not wait to see what they do at the Wedding.
They really have different styles, so I would check out both.

We're having Patken for photo and video. I never heard of Patken until my best friend used them for her wedding in 2004 and another friend used them in 2005. I was in the wedding parties so I saw for myself how the photographers were and saw the results.......I didn't even look at any other photographers, we knew before even meeting w/Patken that we wanted them....once we met them that sealed the deal even more for us. They are amazing!
But if I would choose between Duet and Patken I would choose Duet...
I loveddddddddd Patken's website... and I totally thought that they were going to be the ones we would book... but when we went there it just wasn't the same.

neither. its not that great to go to any of these type of photographers. they rip you off and arent even that good. out of those 2 i'd pick patken (although they probably rip you off more than duet) cause the quality is alot better.

I love Patken! I booked them for myself and I think I got a great package. All you have to do is negotiate and they will throw extra things in.
Although It was a hike for me (I live in Queens) I am happy I went to the Lindenhurst office. The people there are nicer and work with you.
My friend went to the Mineola office after I told her what they had given me and she said that the woman there was not so nice or negotiable.

i chose Patken as well. i was in my friends BP that used them and saw how they worked with bride and i was very impressed....and my other friend works for a DOC and said that Patken is there favorite photographer to refer brides....so my FH saw Patkens work, it was what i wanted...they gave a price and i booked on teh spot!!!!
