Dumb BC Question

Ok I decided to go back on BC because I am trying to avoid my P on our honeymoon ...anywho I just got my period today and doc said to start first sunday after I get my period ...so does that mean today or next sunday ?

My doc told me to start on the first day of my next period which was a monday. I would start right away!!

I would think today because by this time next week your period will already be over and your body will be doing its own thing with hormones. So if you start it next week I think that would be too late and might screw you up a bit.

i'm not 100% sure but i think you start it today...i think it's considered a 'first day start'. do you have the insert pamphlet to your pills? it usually explains it in there...

You have two choices when you start on the Pill:

- Start on the first day of your period; or

- Start on Sunday.

For you, it happens to be the same day, so that's easy!

I've always started in the Sunday after I started my period. I always get my period on Tuesdays so 5 days later I start my new pack which is on a Sunday.

Yup! I don't even take the placebo's.. don't need the extra sugar a hahaha!

You can start it whenever you want! That whole sunday this is bogus.

My doctor gave me mine on a wed and told me to start thurs! My instructions say a sunday start but she said no worries. My pack also comes with days-of-the-week stickers so I can keep track easily.
