Dumb Question

I was wondering.....In the hall are there particular sides the bride & groom sit on?? If the dais is facing the dance floor should the bride and her family & guests be on the left or right side? Does it even matter??

Re: Dumb Question

I don't think that is a dumb question at all, I am curious too. Not sure if it really does matter but I always thought if I sat on the left side of our table, my family would be on that side also.

Re: Dumb Question

We are going to mix tables around so that we don't have a separate his side, my side. We are keeping families together at each table but not dividing the room in half according to families

Re: Dumb Question

Usually the bride's side seats on the odd numbered tables and the groom's on the even, so depending on which side has the odds & evens, that's where you would sit! For mine, I sat on the right.

Re: Dumb Question

We did the same thing, Bride's family, odd #'s groom's even.

LOL but what happens when you have table names instead of numbers

Re: Dumb Question

I'm sitting here thinking about all the weddings I've been to in the past year. At least 3 that I can remember had us sitting to the right for the bride, so I guess that's what I will do too.
