Does the purple ultraviolet light in the drying machines at the nail salon have any effect whatsoever on the stones in my ring? I am always worried that subjecting it to intense ultraviolet light will 'mess it up' somehow.
I know. I clearly don't have enough to worry about in my life.

can't help you with the ring, but I believe UV exposure is not good for you. I let mine dry the old fashioned way, without the lamp.

I'm gonna say no, it won't do anything to it...of course, I don't know that for sure but if its safe enough to put your hands in its got to be safe enough for your diamonds...besides if my manicurist let me do anything that would damage my ring I'd kill her!

They check for floresence when they get the value of your ring. I think they use UV's... I know they use a blacklight. Im not sure if its the same thing or along the same lines...

OOOOOOOOOH I never thought of that before!!! I'm always stuck under the ultraviolet dryer! Personally I don't think they work anyway!

thrilled-where is the place you got your eyebrows threaded? is it that place or 54/lex? I was too hungover on Saturday to get mine done near my apartment and they look terrible...maybe tom after work.
