Dumb Question re: Wedding Bands
Does FH's and my wedding bands have to match?? Can we have different ones? What is normally done? Does it matter? What is everyone doing?

Re: Dumb Question re: Wedding Bands
You can do whatever you want. I know it's really important to some people to have their bands match. FH thought we 'had' to... but I set him straight since I wanted DIAMONDS
He's getting a fairly plain white gold band (brushed gold with polished gold ridges) and I'm getting a platinum eternity band.

Re: Dumb Question re: Wedding Bands
No, the rings don't have to be the same. We are having the same rings, but that was a personal choice.

Re: Dumb Question re: Wedding Bands
I have a diamond one, which was my mom's, but I got a plain one that matches DH. I agree, it is a personal choice. One of my friends couldn't imagine not having matching bands, but her wedding and E-ring are the only jewelry she wears and she didn't want diamonds in her band. I think most people I know got the same color - so both B&G got white gold or platinum or both got yellow gold.

Re: Dumb Question re: Wedding Bands
Our's don't match either. It really is a matter of personal preference.

Re: Dumb Question re: Wedding Bands
Nope, don't have to match. I want one that has a row of diamonds and FH wants one that is brushed. He's tried on more rings then I have, but he wants to be sure he will be comfy wearing it - which is very important to both of us.
