I can't say that I am all broken up over this, but FH has decided that his youngest sister is out of the BP. (Grinning on the inside) In fact, he told her not to come to the wedding at all. I have never seen him this upset.
They had a HUGE fight & in response, she pulled some really sick stunts this week. Too sick to even mention. She is totally insane and I mean that VERY seriously. She had mental problems & a drinking problem. Some of you may recall me mentioning her before. She is a HUGE alcoholic & her behavior is disgusting. She was trashed the night our families met & she used profanities at my father, passed out at the dinner table & totally ruined the evening. I have posted before about my fears of her ruining the wedding.
Now, the question: She put her deposit down on her dress. FH is insisting that I cancel her dress order (the actual order hasn't gone in yet b/c I am waiting for the rest of the BP to get with it, grrrr...) I say that we shouldn't cancel it b/c he may change his mind or they may make up, etc... what do you think? The way she treated FH this week is unexcusable. It makes me hate her (which I of course would never say to him). I honestly hope she DOESN'T come to the wedding. But do I cancel her dress order? I think no but I want your opinions...

Re: Dumping FSIL/BM...
If you think that he is in no way going to let it go, I would cancel the order. No point in having to owe her money. And if they do make up later on, have her do a reading or something else to be involved.

I think you should cancel it if what FH says still stands on the day you order your dresses. She needs to learn the consequences of her actions. if they make up she could always attend your wedding and share in your day that way. She will cause nothing but stress for the both of you if you keep her in your bridal party.

If you are grinning on the inside, like you said, it seems as if you dont' want her in the wedding standing up for either of you. I would say cancel the dress order, bc that will let you guys stick to your guns and not have her in the wedding.
They may make up in the future, but do either of you want her in the wedding when that happens, or would you be content with her just coming to the wedding?
I say cancel the dress, she can have her money back, and then she'll know you are both serious that her behavior was not acceptable.

I think you should cancel it and if you guys decide to have her be a part of the wedding then assign her some other job such as a reading , it seems like she doesn't care enough about you guys to be a BM!!

Hurry up and cancel it now before he has the chance to change his mind. I remember the post about the first meeting of the parents and I almost cried for you it was so sad. I could not believe how badly she behaved and that her family did nothing to stop it. If they do make up she can still come as a guest. It makes no sense to have her in the bridal party and now that she won't have a dress no one can make you have her in it. I am sorry you have to deal with all this .

Whatever your FH wants on the day you order the dresses-I would go by. This is his sister, and if he is that upset-you should respect his wishes.

I agree & I remember you posting about her in the past! and if they start to speak as you get closer then you can assign her to something else... Good Luck!

cancel it! I do recall the things you've posted about her...she seems like an absolute nightmare!! Do you really want to deal with her in your BP?...this is your way of not having to deal with the worry of what trouble she may/may not cause....JMO

I would give it time, let the smoke clear. Then sit down and talk to him about it.

Re: Dumping FSIL/BM...
Thanks everyone...
I spoke to FH this morning & told him 'Maybe you're right. Maybe we should cancel the dress for your sister' I also said I am concerned b/c if I do cancel it & they make up, I fear his mother will never forgive me for kicking her daughter out and not having a dress for her. I am so torn on this one. FH said I should call his mom today & ask her. I'm not really into that idea....
On a side note, FSIL's antics continue. FH went to his parents house to pick up some clothes on Sunday. (We don't have much room for storage so he keeps clothes there.) FSIL still lives at home. When we went to hang his dress shirts in the closet when we got back, we noticed that she CUT ALL THE BUTTONS off his shirts & left gaping holes where they used to be. She also cut all the shoelaces on his shoes, sneakers & hiking boots. I am telling you guys, she is SERIOUSLY SICK IN THE HEAD!!!!

Re: Dumping FSIL/BM...
I think a safe bet would be to order the gown anyway. Just in case, family is family and you don't know how he's going to feel a few months from now... besides, you can always get the gown fitted to another girl if he stands by his decision. You have to think of all the possibilities: what if she goes to rehab and cleans up her act? I'd rather not have regrets....
even though she sounds like a monster
What a crappy thing to deal with. good luck
UPDATE: I just read your old post about the parent meeting. She's crazy - kick her out.
