DVD proofs

Just to make sure...I can save individual photos and print, save, copy to cd, etc. from a dvd, right. I've never heard of this and assumed I could when I met with photographers but then I got worried that I couldnt. Im getting the high res proofs on dvd. Thanks!

The DVD is a nice thing to have - but, the negative I found with them is actually picking your album proofs. We thought it was much harder to try to figure out what pics we wanted in our album by looking at a computer screen than it would've been if we could see actual printed proofs...It's a shame we can't get both!

But see if you can also get a low resolution copy of every picture too so you can email them or put them online. The high resolution is what you need for printing, but it's way too big to use online. My photographer (G.E. Masana) is giving us both.

if you have the accessory program Paint on your PC you can resize the pic yourself. I think it's in View menu and it says resize/skew. pick resize and use % like 40 or 50. be sure to save AS a new name so you don't overlay the orig.

also be sure with the DVD that they don't have the photog name embedded in the pics and that it is not locked so you can make copies. - - not sure how that works but I have seen posts about the disk being protected so you can't access it????
