I saw a commercial for a new panasonic model last night that looked pretty good.

I think Phillips has the leading edge on this technology...they were the first to market with it...I'm not sure if it's come down in price yet, tho.

gateway has one for 299 I think it finished because that was the sale last week for thanksgiving. reg price 350. It is the lowest price that I saw so far. gateway is a very good computer company. They have several stores throughout ny, the one I go to is on clen gove road, old westbury. gateway.com

My DH and I decided this will be a Christmas present to each other. We can't wait to put all our VHS onto DVDs. It's going to free up a LOT of space!

Hope they're good, though.
