Re: Dyed shoes with a long dress
If a person is wearing a long dress they should be able to wear whatever they want on there feet its not seen the whole night unless they are asked to lift their dress up

Re: Dyed shoes with a long dress
Ok I may get crap for this but I completely disagree.
I have never not had my shoes dyed to match a dress (long or short). No you don't see your feet that much but you do see them when you walk and having some color that doesn't match showing just doesn't look right IMO. My thing is you have to buy shoes anyway and they dye them for free so what is the difference.
Now if you are telling me that the dresses are navy and you found navy shoes that are almost the same color that is one thing, but if the dresses are navy you feel like wearing black or silver and the bride wants navy then I think you should get what she prefers.

Re: Dyed shoes with a long dress
my BM dress color is euro taupe - and i have a feeling it will be easier for the girls to have shoes dyed to match it rather than trying to find a pair of shoes that matches it - at first i thought gold or silver might match but now i think its best if they got them dyed....i dont care what the shoe looks like but i just have a feeling its going to be hard for them to find a nice shoes that compliment the dress - if they dont dye the shoes i dont even know what color shoes they should try and get

Re: Dyed shoes with a long dress
I'm going to have to disagree with not dying (if your dress is ivory and your shoes are white which mine are) My dress is Ivory and my shoes were white. I originally thought I would not dye for the same reason...no one will see! But i did my fitting and the length they make the dress is supposed to just touch the floor which means when you walk down the aisle you shoes peep out...when i tried on the dress you could totally see that the shoes where WHITE and made my dress look extremely IVORY....so be careful with your decision

When I go to a wedding I don't look at people's feet though, you know what I mean? I can completely understand if you want them to wear a specific color. My dress is red and I just asked that they don't wear silver shoes. I'm not asking them to go and dye shoes.

Re: Dyed shoes with a long dress
Ummm I think i'm wearing hot pink shoes with my bridal gown, so *** do I know????
As for as BM's, i'm letting them wear silvery strappy sandals of their choice so that they'll be able to wear them again.
I have been forced to purchase so many of those hideous (IMO) dyables shoes in my lifetime that I never wanted to wear again so I promised myselfI wouldn't do that to anyone else.
I think everyone should do however they feel and not listen to anyone else. ((Meaning it's the Bride's decision))

thats what i wanted them to get - and i kind of wanted everyone to get their own shoes that they liked but when we went to order the dresses we we were like because i think its going to be hard to match the dress - im not going to stress it - im sure it will work out - im going to go on zappos now and look shoes
