dying moms advice on greys anatomy

Original post by Tiggeruth

for those who watched greys anatomy this week the dying mom told her daughter to just have one glass of champagne on her wedding day and then drink water...anyone planning on doing this? It seems like some pretty good advice.

Us as well. FH & I don't drink so we chose a Sunday morning so the non-alcohol thing wouldn't be as big an issue... We're offering alternative entertainment for our guests... our wedding is definitely going to be different!

I was drinking all nite-but maybe I only had like 4 or 5 drinks the entire night, over like 6 hours. I found that drinking Captain Morgan and Diet Coke doesn't get me sick AND I'm not a big drinker so it was all in moderation- I was also able to eat and was dancing it all off!!!!
I had a glass of champagne in the limo at my friend's wedding and I had a pounding headache all nite-nothing helped! UGH!

I hardly had time to drink---I had many unfinished drinks.... probably a total of 3 or 4 completed from 3:30 to midnight so I was fine....last night watching the video I laughed since you NEVER saw me with a drink in my hand and I know at other people's weddings I always have a drink in hand

I had a lot of unfinished drinks too. You're too busy running around, dancing, etc.

That episode had me in hysterics.

Well, with my dress having both a corset inside, AND buttons all the way up, I don't want to drink anything. I can't imagine how I'll get out of that thing to pee. A few sips of champagne, and water if absolutely necessary for me. I don't want to be dehydrated, of course. But the bare minimum for me that day.

I went to a wedding this St. Patrick's day and the bride was so beyond drunk - it was quite amusing because she was having the time of her life. She was dancing like crazy, literally running and sliding down the dance floor (like a slip and slide, but on her butt) and was sweating so much her hair and makeup were ruined!

I didn't even have time to eat, let alone drink!!! They had champagne in the bridal suite for us after the ceremony, I had enough time to take a sip and that was it. The only other time I even had time to drink was during the MOH and BM speech and again, it was only a sip.
