E-bay Dispute ANd PAYPAL

Anyone who uses Ebay and Paypal ...
we have a dilema..
We sold some of FHs used Hockey equipment, $3000 worth of equipment for $250, we posted 7 pictures of everything, in detail...the buyer when it was recv'd said it was not in 'good' condition and disputed it. It was listed as USED....The money was held in my paypal account, so we DONT have the money and he has the item. Paypal asked us to reply to the charges..we did ( on March 20th)..

Does anyone know HOW long it takes to be resolved????

All I know is that it shouldn't take that long since you already responded it.

Typically if I was wrong, we would refund the money, but there were SEVEN pictures, you KNEW what you were getting ya know?

I think I'll try to contact paypal again...

I went through the same thing when I sold my DH's tablet PC back in September. It took PayPal 30 days to decide in my favor (it's in their 'interest' to hang on to your money for as long as they can...which is 30 days.) I was basically told by a couple of the PayPal reps that usually as long as the buyer received the items and not something other than stated in the listing (like a bicycle for a motorcycle), then they tend to decide in your favor. I was fortunate in that the idiot buyer who started my dispute decided to sell the PC before the investigation was completed. He also then started to disparage me in his listings so I had to file a complaint with Ebay. I didn't know until some of his potential buyers contacted me to see what his deal was.

WOW! I'm very afraid of him leaving us negative feedback too. HE hasnt yet, but I know he will no matter what happens, and is waiting till its settled one way or another.

Yeah, receiving negative feedback stinks, but you can always respond to that feedback, which is what I did.
