for those of you having a e party... Do you plan om buying your FH a gift ? Just wondering , I wasnt aware of that & now im wondering if I should?

No I didn't. I got him a REALLY nice bracelet for our Anniversary which was right after our Engagement ..which was part engagement part anniversary present.

I bought my FI a white gold chain & bracelet and gave it to him right before we left for our e-party so he could wear it at the party.

i didn't give him a gift at the e-party....BUT a week after he gave me the ring, I gave him an authentic Pedro Martinez jersey. He was dyingggg for it, but wouldn't spend the money.

the Greeks have differnt traditions. During our engagment parties the family of the groom ( excluding the groom himself) dress the bride in gold. They usually get her 1 piece of jewlery for each part of the body ( ear, wrist, neck, ankle...ect).. and the same goes for the groom. My family will dress him in gold. So on that day the bride and goom do not exchange gifts with one another.

I'm considering paying for the entire honeymoon (at least the hotel, air tix, car rental). I'm thinking that is a good enough wedding and e gift.

We went to San Diego shortly after our e-party and I paid for the hotel (plane tickets were free - LONG story). The trip was planned before we got engaged so it wasn't really a 'planned' gift. Just kinda happened that way.

Let me start by saying I definitely dont think you HAVE to buy him a present for the e-party, nor do I think it is customary. But similar to other girls, after he proposed I felt like since he bought me this gorgeous ring, I wanted to get him something. He'd been wanting a Sirius Satellite Radio thingy, so I got him that. But we didnt exchange gifts at our actual engagement party which was over 3 months later.

We're not having an e-party. His birthday was shortly after we got engaged, and I wanted to get him something extra special, considering the gorgeous ring that I got for Christmas! So, don't laugh, I got him power tools! And, he absolutely LOVED them!

I am giving FH a Van Stall Fishing reel, it's ridiculously expensive and he really wanted it, so I figured it was the least I could do, since he spent all that $ on a ring..
