E-party

E-party

So I've been engaged almost a year now and we never had an engagment party. For awhile I didn't want one but now I'm wishing we did especially since we set our date and it's still not for awhile! You girls are always great. Any ideas? It doesn't have to be a big party but I'd like to dress up and do something.

You could get a small section of a restaurant for you and your guests and do dinner. Or if you want a party maybe someones house, or catering hall, alot of restaurants also have rooms for a party...Depends on exactly what you are looking to do.

We just had a party at our house, in the backyard. It cuts the cost. But like the other girls said, you can always go to a restaurant.

We're going to rent out a room at 300 in Melville. It's a bowling alley. I wanted something fun and not too weddingish. I didn't want people to get dressed up and people make toasts and cake cutting and such. I just want it to be a celebration of our engagement!

My FSIL had an engagement brunch at Irish Coffee Pub - it was really nice! HR Singletons in Bethpage (?) has an AWESOME brunch menu!!!

ETS: I just re-read your post and you say you DO want to get dressed up... Try any of the wedding venues that have smaller rooms: CLM, Westbury Manor, Beach Club Estate, etc...
Good luck!

we're having a cocktail-style party at FMIL's house next weekend. It's going to be catered with fancy finger foods. I just bought a cocktail dress.
