Just bc I have never been to one (they don't have them in Ohio) do people typical buy off your registry for this? I want to make sure I have enough stuff on my registry if they are.

I have seen both - either gifts off of the registry or $$$$.....I would update your registry incase!
ETA: we got only $$$.....we didn't start a registry for that reason....we waited to start it right before the holidays........

About half the people gave us cash or checks ... 1/4 gave gifts from the registry ... the last 1/4 gave 'random' gifts (not from the registry)
I'd add some items to your registry in the 50-100 range.

I didn't register for my e-party. It was too soon for me to really know what I wanted. Most people gave money. Out of a little over 100 people, I only received about 5 gifts. They were really nice gifts though---toasting flutes, frames, and a cheese board.

I registered for my E-party (we had it 5 months after we were engaged). People were told where we were registered through word of mouth. We had about 89 ppl and 85% of them gave $.
