E-party attire?

E-party attire?

OK, I posted yesterday that I have an e-party to go to tomorrow and that I wasn't sure how much $$$ to gift. The last time I was at an e-party, I was 10.

The party is Sunday at 3pm at the Meadow Club - I guess I just assumed that nice pants and a nice top would be appropriate. BUT....

I just found out the the bride-to-be is wearing an ivory beaded gown!!! Is that ridiculous? I guess I should switch my outfit to a black cocktail dress?

Does this seem weird to anyone else? Should I be pulling out the cocktail dress? What's the norm here?

Thanks in advance ladies, I'M SO CLUELESS!!!

An ivory-beaded gown?! Does she think her wedding is today?! Holy Cow! I guess at this point pull out the cocktail dress but this is a way over the top e-party if that's what she's wearing!

Thank you so much for responding... no one in the house was awake last night and I couldn't ask them, so I needed opinions here.

I thought the gown was over the top, but I wasn't sure how these things work... grrr now I have to break out the dress--- I'm headed to the store right now to find something to wear over it - it's sleeveless and I'm always cold! ughhh
Thanks again

I agree that it's a bit much. But, she is the bride. I tried to wear light colors to my wedding celebrations, but never a beaded gown...
