For an engagement party in May at a place on the water (but indoors)- I am deciding between a 3 piece jazz band and a solo steel drum player w/ recorded background music. They are roughly the same price.
After the cocktail hour and a half, there is the dinner/reception where we have a dj.
I think the steel drum player would be fun on the water but I am not sure how it will sound w/ the recording. Is the jazz band classier?
Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I dont know much about Eparties, but having live music at a ch at one seems a bit overboard to me?

We are doing a jazz trio (my vote). FH and I just like the sound better than steel drums.
I think both would sound good, so decide what you would prefer to hear and what fits better with your day.

Thanks for the replies.
We're Indian, so everything regarding wedding and pre-wedding events is overboard for us.
I think it would be nice to have live music even at the engagement party.
