E-party Favor idea, tell me what you think

E-party Favor idea, tell me what you think

Okay, I'm having my E-party the 25th of this month. We are doing a BBQ at a park I pratically grew up in. I was thinking as a favor for my guess was to take pine cones, code them in this all natural paste and dipped them in bird seed and make them a bird feeder. Then put them in a clear baggie, with a bow that reads 'Joe and Bonnie's Engagement Party, June 25th, 2005' What do you guys think?

Honestly, I'm not a fan of that whole thing. I honestly think people would throw it out immediately. It also sounds like work - which I hate! What about getting them something edible - like lollipops in flavors that signify summer and 'parks' and such - watermelon, sour apple, etc? Or chocolates in the shapes of leaves and acorns? In the end, I 99% of the time throw out favors I get b/c I have no use for them or they're jsut not my taste. Edibles are just easier.

Well chocolate is going to melt, and I'm aware most people will throw them out. I just don't have the money to spend two to five bucks a favor. I'm having about a 100 people

I didn't mean to offend; that's why the thread posted states 'tell me what you think' b/c I was being honest, and telling you what I personally thought.

There are ways to cut costs, and you can keep favors to a $1 - $2 a piece. I was just being honest - sorry to offend.

That sound like a lot of work for something that isn't going to be used or appreciated ...if you wanted to do something out doors like they seel those pkg of seeds ....or

YOu weren't offending me. please don't think that at all! I was merely replying to you. Look unless you call me stupid, fat, ugly, or whatever, then you'll offend me, but your opinion I value. I really do. Please don't think I get offended that easly!

I like the cookies, I wonder how much they would cost.

Hey an idea for the cookies, you can probably designate someone in the family to make them for you. They should be easy... Cause I know it will be a lot of work for u to do.

our e-party was in our backyard this past saturday and we got pre wrapped candles in the Dollar store by Bob's in Selden. It was all I could spend as well!

LOL My fiance suggested we make the cookies in the shape of our mothers so we can bite their heads off!

we're making cookies and chocolates and wrapping them nicely. We invited 100 too, and I wanted something 'useful'.

Well I figured the bird seed idea would be cool because of the park theme. But I like your ideas so far. Thanks!

Okay, just making sure I didn't offend you. You can buy cookie cutters in the shape of leaves...they're very cheap (probably no more than a buck! make the cookies, and put them in celaphane...saving lots of cash rather than having someone make them.

I was just going to say this. I don't think favors are necessary for an e-party. I am giving out my save the date as a favor. Otherwise, I wasn't planning on giving a favor.

I think the pine cone idea is cute..but I do agree that most people would be like 'W T F? ' and throw it out

if you want some inexpensive ideas with chocolate, FM me. I made chocoalte lollipops for Soon2BmrsA's shower which was this weekend and she seemed really happy with them. I'm sure there's something we can work out to fit your budget/
