E-party HELP!

E-party HELP!

Okay I'm having a BBQ for my E-party at Southhaven park. Its a great park for kids, there are ducks to feed, play grounds, a baseball field and plenty of woods to explore. We are also having a Pintia and a boom box full of rock and roll, heavey metal and so on. The problem is, what do I do with very old fashion traditional adults? My family is VERY laid back, compare to my FH family. How do I entertain theses types of people? We refuse to play country music, or endless songs of Frank Sinatra. I honestly don't know what to do for them. Any ideas?

Does your FH's family know what kind of wedding you are having???

I only ask because if they are so uptight and traditional it would seem to me that the wedding would be a much bigger problem then some heavy metal music.

Re: E-party HELP!

Its our wedding, plan and simple. They don't like it they can leave. But at the E-party they are helping so I'm trying find a way to make them somewhat happy. The E-party is important due to the fact that our famlies have NEVER met. So I'm trying to make this as simple as possible. Again I could use some help in entertaining theses people. Do you have any ideas?
By the way Jen I LOVE your BM dress.

Don't worry about the music. Focus on both of your families interracting and getting to know each other. It's a great casual atmosphere, so you guys should have fun. Enjoy!

Thats a great attitude to have. Hmm. Entertianment. Do you have some kind of ice breaking activity planned? Maybe one of you could sort of make a speech and welcome everyone and list some activities that are around the park to do. What does his family like besides music? Could you bring pictures of the two of you together for people to look through, maybe baby pics too?? you could pass out paper and have like an 'interview' of the bride and groom where the family can ask fun questions and stuff???
