E - Party Invites

Hello! Has anyone done their own e-party invites? I am trying to cut costs as best as I can but I am not exactly the most creative person in the world and I can't think of anything to write on the invite except that it is for us and where it is. I don't want to seem that cheesy and I don't want to just buy regular party invites from a stationary store. Help please! I am so frustrate!

I don't know how fancy you want but try vistaprint.com We used them for our rehearsal dinner invites and they turned out nice.

Definitely Vistaprint!!! Love them & they are really pretty & very easy to do!

i got mine on vistaprint and i was very happy with them. they were actually cheaper than buying a box of blank invites at staples and printing them ourselves (and there was no stress involved)

did you try www.announcingit.com?

I got my RD invited there REALLY cheap and they were adorable! I was going to do them myself but these cost just as much as buying nice stationary & there was no work involved. See my review!

I did ours myself. Just picked up some cardstock at Michael’s, did the design in Photoshop and printed it out! It was about $20 for 50 cards and envelopes.

Pics are in my album.

Re: E - Party Invites

Just make it simple. Simple is usually elegant - not cheesey.

All it has to say is:

You are cordially invited
for dinner and drinks (or dinner and dancing)
to celebrate the engagement of
Bride
to
Groom
on
Date
place
time
RSVP info

--or--
You are cordially invited
to an engagement party in honor of
Bride
and
Groom
on
Date
place
time
RSVP info

You could always design wrappers for candy bars that say save the date or something and mail those out! Little different.

I had my done at party city...but I looked up cute sayings and some of them were too cutesy...so I just put..

It all started with a kiss
and now it's come to this..

Please join us in celebrating

But if you google 'engagement party invites' you'll find cute sayings

Re: E - Party Invites

I did mine. They are in my album. I actually got them from Target and then used my home printer.

I sent out a total of 51 invites and it cost me approx $75-$80 including postage.

Good luck!

Re: E - Party Invites

I had FMIL make mine...
Just get a cardstock in a plain color (they have it in michaels) print out what you want the invites to say...then once the ink is dry you get to decorate it!! I got a nice ice blue ribbon to line the top (about one inch down from the top exactly...) and attached that and put a cute snowflake charm in the middle. Also lined the edges in a nice irridescent shimmer.

Its not really that hard once you try to do it yourself and get the hang of it.

You can pick ribbons and charms and colors based on the theme you chose. My theme is snowflakes because FH wants a winter wedding so we are starting that theme now...so we used alot of ice blue, white and some silver accents.
Good Luck if you decide to try this on your own!! You can do it!!

I bought the invites at AC Moore and printed them myself. I think the total for the invites was around $25. I had 2 40% off a single item coupon

we used vistaprint- they were about $30 for 50 after shipping.

You can also get them from michaels, ac moore or target and pring them up yourself.

google 'engagement invite wording' or something like that and you can probaby steal one that the pros have
