E-party problems

E-party problems

Well the story goes... I am buying a house and was supposed to close in the middle of Sept. Long story short I was going to have an e-pary/ housewarming and kill two birds with one stone BUT I still haven't closed.... I want to have an e-party but it's going to be to cold to keep everyone outside if i EVER DO close on the house (which might not happen) And I don't have the money to have it at a place. Does anyone have any suggestions or should I get used to the idea that I just can't have one ??

I wouldn't bet on the house closing if it's not a complete 100% yet.

I would plan on having it somewhere else. Maybe you can have it at someonebody elses house? If you can have it at another house then you still wont have to spend alot of money.

I didn't have one. We also didn't have the money for it. It wasn't a big deal to me to have one. If you are set on doing it , then look into having it at another family members house perhaps?

I was going to see if FMIL would do it, (I'm sure she will) but I don't want to bother her. Do you think it would be bad to ask? It's just that his fam has so much going on (party wise) this month.

If you just want the party and don't care about gifts you could just have it someplace mellow, provide some appetizers and basic drinks and tell people no gifts. I would come to an e-party even if it was just 'meet at a bar food and drinks are available' and you could have a cake.

That actually sounds like a good idea. My best friend works in a bar. I could probably do something small like that. Thanks!!!

That is a good idea too. This way it's not a big production. Some people do it and it's like another wedding lol I think it would be nice and comfortable and different, to have it in a bar type setting. What is important is everyone celebrating with you, and being there for you. :)
