E-PARTY Question...

Ok, so I live in NYC (as does my fiance, and all our friends), and my parents live all the way out in Suffolk County near Bridgehampton. They want to have a sunday afternoon e-party at their house out there, which is so wonderful and gracious, HOWEVER, where should I tell my friends to stay for saturday night? Everything there is so expensive. Is it too much to ask people to drive out there just for sunday?? I'd rather my parents have something small for us in the city on a sunday - what do you think??!!

We are in the city too and I totally understand where you are coming from-- I hate having to schlep out to LI just as much as anyone else.

Can you hire a bus to drive all your friends back and forth from the party... My friend did this for her shower which was out in LI.

That's a great suggestion.........but it still doesn't take care of the housing question....

Seriously though - great thought. Even if we hired a shuttle for Sunday morning which brought them back Sunday night - that could work!h

yeah- that is what I was thinking.. so, it is just a day thing and it makes it easy for everyone to get out there-- It's not like it is 3 hours a way...

I have no idea what that would cost- but I would assume you would need to rent the vehicle for the travel time and whole duration of the party- unless it can just be travel time.

It can't be too much- people do it all the time. And the less people you have to transport, the less money it will be cause the vehicle would be smaller.
