Ok, so if you have an engagement party..do people bring you gifts and money..
if so, what kinda gifts did you get and what did you do with the money?

Most people gave us money at our eparty but we did get quite a few gifts. We got a martini bar set, some fruit bowls, our toasting flutes, vases...basically crystalware.

we just had our eparty last weekend and got both gifts and money.
the gifts were mostly like stuff to use in the kitchen, wine glasses, etc.
we had opened a joint account to save for the wedding so all the money we got from the e-party went right into that account.

We got mostly money. The gifts we got were: picture frames, serving bowls, toasting flutes, photo album, towels and glasses. we used the money for deposits on all of our vendors and put the rest in a CD to collect interest

we didnt register (purposely) so we got mostly money and token gifts like frames, vases etc.

It probably also makes a difference if you register. Then people might not know what else to buy you.

We got all money except 2 platters from Tiffany. I opened an account and put the money in... we used it for down payments and stuff like that.

we had one......got mostly $, a handful of gifts - champagne flutes, vase, and something else that i can't remember. we put the $ in a joint acct to pay for deposits and stuff

it might not make a difference, I registered before my eparty bc i wanted to give people the option if they would prefer to give a gift instead of feeling they HAVE to give cash but nobody bought gifts anyways, well for shower only
