e-party question

e-party question

Our e-party is coming up on June 7th. It's pretty formal. We're having about 110 people, dj, cocktail hour, etc.

My question is: Am I supposed to wear a corsage and is FH supposed to wear a boutonniere ? If so, do our parents get them too? And who orders them? Would FH and I order them for everybody, including ourselves? Or do people not typically wear these??

xoxo

Re: e-party question

I've been to a few recently, and I haven't seen too many. Unless you want one I wouldn't worry about getting it. If someone wanted to get you one they would probably just buy it, and bring it, probably someone like your mom. IMO I don't think this is something you should worry about.

Unless you are going super formal I dont think you need one...But with 110 people in a catering hall, it sounds kinda formal so you may want to consider having a corsage and bout for the two of you...

It's up to you, but it's not a mandatory thing. I think you having a corsage would be a nice touch since it sounds so formal. It will highlight the fact that you are the VIP of the day, in case anyone forgot

i think you'll be fine without them. i agree that if someone wanted to buy for you then they'll just bring it with them.

I don't think that you HAVE to, but if it's a formal affair, I think it's a nice touch!

We didn't as ours wasn't ultra formal...plus I wouldn't have worn one anyway as I don't like them to begin with.

You don't HAVE to, but if you want to, go ahead. My mom bought me one for mine, and I bought one for my mom, FMIL, and my BM's. I did this just as a nice gesture to have my BM's stand out from the rest of the guests. FH and his BM's didn't wear anything special.

I dont think its necessary. Unless you really really wnat it. You can always get them for your parents and grandparents to recognize all their support- just as a nice gesture.

Re: e-party question

I come from traditional italian family, therefore we had a similar party like yours, pretty formal.....therefore my mother insisted FH get me a corsage.

So I did have one....I really think its up to you. If its a formal party, I would probably get one but there is no 'wrong' answer in this type of situtation.
