Where did you have your engagement party? how long after you were engaged did you have the party? how many people did you invite to the party? and what did it run you at the end of the night (final cost)?

We had ours at Novita in Garden City. They did an Awesome job, and they were really flexable. FM me if you want more info. We had 100+ people, DJ, Open bar, cocktail style buffet, etc. We did our E-party about 4 months after we got engaged. You should try them.

In my uncles backyard in a tent (look at my album so see...didnt look like a backyard party!) Im not sure how much it cost cuz it was a gift from my uncles...

what did it end up costing after it was all said and done?

fh and i had our eparty in november. of 07. we got engaged in march. so it was 8 months after we got engaged. we had it in an italian place called carosella's on crossbay blvd. it cost us about 4500. we had about 120 people

we had ours at the marconi manor in islip. the package included a dj and food. we had 92 people and it was about 4500
oh and we had it about 3 .5 months after being engaged

We had ours about 4 months after we got engaged at Martha Clara Vineyard. We had about 100 people, had it caterered. When all was said and done, it was a little over $5k. We had the most beautiful setting and everyone had a blast. But I don't recommend my venue.

we did not have one. we always get annoyed when we get invited to them plus it really didn't make sense to have an e-party since we are only inviting 120 people to our wedding.

YOu can always say no if you don't like e-parties. I didnt expect every single guest I invited to attend, even with weddings you don't expect it. There are some of course you would be hurt by if they didn't attend but at times you just have to understand. Plus if its for a friend even if theres certain parties a person doesn't like, then in the end just have to be real happy for them and want to celebrate with them. Whenever ive had bridal showers, e-parties, baby showers, bday parties or any event for a friend, no matter how i might feel about what they are doing, I am excited they are going through such an important time in their life and just want to celebrate with them and enjoy the night with them. Whenever i have a close friends party to attend, i get real excited ahead of time and happy for them.
It cost me even more to throw an e-party. Our family and friends, e-parties are the norm and most have it. So ive gone to theirs and then it was our turn and went to others after ours.

We got engaged on x-mas of '07 and had our eparty 4 months later at Roma View Catering Hall in Howard Beach...We had 120 guests and after all was said and done it was close to 10K. I always knew I wanted a big eparty (not planning on that big) but everyone had a blast and I would do it over again.
