I had it all planned out to take my E-pics at Bedell (vineyard out east). I even called Duet and set up the date/time and told them exactly where it was located and they said it was fine. Yesterday I got an email from Duet saying they would only go to Bedell if we paid an extra $100 because it's 50 miles from their office and they only travel 40 miles for engagement sessions. Seriously? I'm paying them almost $6,000 already, what is an extra 10 miles?! How does that cost another $100?! So annoyed.
FH and I got engaged at a winery out east and are getting married out east... We really wanted to take our E-pics out there.
Now back to square one.. looking for a new location since FH refuses to give them anymore money.

Although that SUCKS.. I wouldn't punish a photographer. Its' the company who won't let it slide, so it really has nothing to do with the photog. That would kinda be like going to a diner, not loving what you ordered and then skipping a tip to a waitress who just served you.
Congrats on getting the extra cash! I hear D U E T are sticklers when it comes to money/contract stuff. I am sure the pics will be AMAZINg tho!

I should add that we're not being stingy... I know $100 isn't a lot of money but we're paying for the wedding ourselves with no help so we are really trying to stay within our budget and so far we've had a lot of extra costs that are putting us way over our budget!! We're not cheapo's!!
I understand where you are coming from...it's the principle of it...cut a bride some slack and work with her (for just 10 more miles?!?!).

wow! seriously with all the money you pay, that's ridiculous. is there anywhere like it that is a bit closer so you can get the same effect but not have to pay?
