FH and I took our e-pics today! I hope come out OK. It was definitely good for FH to have a 'trial run' with smiling and taking so many pics b/c he isn't great in front of a camera! I know his face was hurting after awhile and we weren't even there that long! I told him just wait till you have to smile ALL DAY LONG!
They should be in in about 2 weeks. I can't wait. Only thing...they told me it comes on a contact sheet, i guess a sheet with smaller versions of the pictures and then we pick which one we want for our 8x10. Did anyone else have something like this? I thought I would get them on CD or 4x6 proofs? It took me by surprise when he said that, so I didn't ask that many questions. Guess I'll ask more when I go in to look at them!
UPDATE: I got my contact sheet of e-pics today. They came out nicer than I thought. Plus, I got Sherwood to put the pics on a CD so that I can do what I please with the pictures afterwards. That made me happy!
I took pictures of the pictures, so they aren't the greatest quality. I will post the real ones when I get the disc, but you can get the jist!

are you using Sherwood Triart? That is who we used and ours came on a contact sheet.

We just got a contact sheet. We have to pick our 8x10. I'm pretty sure the girl told me that when the wedding proofs come, we get individual pictures of all the proofs/

if you dont request, or it is not in your contract, many photographers dont want 2 give you a proof cd because they want you to order prints through them for a ridiculous amount of money.

I will definitely let you know! It's silly not to allow you to have the pictures! If you can have the wedding pics, why not e-pics!? Ya know!?
Did they come in quicker than 2 weeks? I'll let you know what happens after I go in! Thanks for all the info!

I was thinking that as well! I had it put in the contract that I would get the proofs and a CD of the wedding photos, I just assumed they would give e-pics as well. I should have said more today, but I was just surprised at what he said and didn't really think about it until we had left.

u should call them & ask for the proofs on a cd especially if u want to use the e-pics for other things. You dont want to have to pay for re-prints through the photographer.

nothing really you can do with a contact sheet. just look @ them & pick the ones you like.
proofs on a cd should be standard for all photographers now. they already charge us an arm & a leg to take the pics, then they want to charge a finger & a toe to print them.
