so next friday FH and I are doing our E-pics with our photographer! YAY! I was just reading an article about tipping your wedding vendors and i just realized ... Should we tip him for our E-pics? We paid ALOT for our photo package.. and he works for himself. Do we tip, or save that for the wedding?

I thought when its the business owner you don't tip them because you usually do not tip the proprietor.
maybe the person working for them....

Mine are next weekend and the owner is the Photographer. I dont plan on tipping until the day of the Wedding.

My E-pics were just this week and we tipped the photographer (owner) and his young assistant.

I agree with this. As far as I know, you don't tip the owner, just the assistant since the owner is the one who's getting the biggest cut of whatever you paid for your package. Save the tipping for the wedding.

I've been reading that we weren't supposed to (they are self employed), but in the end I felt badly and gave em 30 bucks.

Our Epics were a separate fee from our package so we tipped our photographer.

ours is a family owned business...since we did them at the beach we tipped (even though it was included) - want to keep relationship friendly since they are in charge of the most important part on the wedding day
